TARTAR SAUCE

1 c mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Dash of Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp drained sweet pickle relish
2 tbsp finely minced shallots
1 tbsp drained tiny capers
Salt and pepper to taste

Combine first five ingredients in a bowl, stir in remaining ingredients, and refrigerate (covered) at least one hour for flavors to blend. Makes about 1-1/4 cups and keeps up to 3 days.
