LAVENDER HONEY CHICKEN BREASTS
Make a mixture of about 1/3 cup honey, 1 tbsp minced fresh lavender blossoms, ½ tsp freshly ground pepper, and set aside. Rub 3 or 4 chicken breasts with salt, pepper and fresh lavender. Put them on a grill (or in poor weather a baking sheet in a 350 oven) and cook until lightly browned and nearly cooked through (about 35 minutes). Brush the chicken breasts with the honey mixture. Repeat several times over the next 10 minutes or so, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. |
