APPLE NUT LATTICE TARTS

3 to 3.5 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
½ cup sugar
3 T golden raisins (optional)
3 T chopped walnuts or pecans
2 t cinnamon
½ t grated lemon peel
2 t lemon juice
Prepared double pie crusts

Place ½ of the pie crust in a 10" (removable bottom) tart pan. In a large bowl, combine filling ingredients. Spoon into the pie crust lined 
pan. To make lattice top, cut remaining dough into ½" strips. Arrange over the apple mixture, trim and seal edges. Combine 1 beaten egg yolk with 1 tsp water and brush over the lattice. Bake at 400 for 40-60 minutes. Drizzle mixture of ¼ c powdered sugar mixed and 1-2 tsp lemon juice over warm crust.
