Belgium in a very self-sufficient industrialized country that is a little smaller than the U.S. State of Maryland.

The capital city is Brussels (known for its architecture, fashion, food and nightlife), the currency is the Euro and languages are Dutch, French and German.

A population of 10,185,000 occupy 10 provinces and Brussels in a total land area of 32,820 sq km (12,672 sq miles).

Cloudy and rainy days are commonplace because of the Gulf Stream's effect on the Atlantic. Inland summers are mild and winters are cool. At 50° 50'N, 4° 00'E.

Belgium is a flat country, hilly, forested conditions do exist in the southeastern Ardennes Region. The Schelde and Meuse are major rivers.
